Had an short but nice photosession with PrissyPantsUnicorn and BeyondBlackMountains today and got my love back for this certain cosplay.
To be honest, I didn't like it at all before(2 years ago when I assembled it) but with some help I love it now
Morty is definitely one of my favorite gym leaders of all times. I remember how I always made sure to catch a Ghastly as soon as I could and then kept it throughout the whole game, both in generation 1 and 2 and possibly sometimes in the other generations too. Then I kind of replaced the ghost-type with some other pokemon instead for a while, until I one day discovered Sableye. This little fella is both adorable and a real badass if trained properly, and he has won my heart.
Now, Morty is the gymleader of ghost-types in generation 2 and at first I thought about making a Haunter plush but it didn't appeal to me that much(mostly because I was determined to create a life-size pokemon and Haunter is HUGE). So then I looked through a ghost-type list and it hit me that Sableye is both ghost and dark-type and also has an adorable size of just about 50cm.
So here is the adorable little Sableye named Jacob, life sized and trying to eat his own pokeball

You have a really good Morty cosplay. Morty's one of my favorite gym leaders and it's hard to find a good cosplay pic of him. Great job!
